As of 30 June 2022 out of 179 companies listed on the EGM market, only 22% of SMEs report on their sustainability activities. ESG-oriented companies mainly belong to the Technology services sector (30%), followed by the Commercial services (13%) and Producer manufacturing sectors (10%). In terms of territorial composition, the most represented region is Lombardia (50%), followed by Lazio (13%), Emilia-Romagna, Veneto and Campania (8%).

87% of companies report at least one environmental issue in their sustainability paper; the percentage drops slightly to social (29%) and governance (41%).
